Enjoy it, and stay in charge
Our credits have no value, but your time does, and games in a gambling style can take hold of some people. Below is what we’ve put in place and what tends to help.
What the site does for you
- A running clock. The footer of every page shows how long you’ve spent on the site in this tab.
- An hourly nudge. Once each full hour has passed, a message suggests you take a break.
- An age check. One question when you arrive, plus a date of birth if you open an account.
- Breaks on request. Ask us to pause or restrict your account.
- Easy deletion. Remove your account whenever you like from My account.
Habits that help
- Decide how long you’ll play before you begin, and keep to it.
- Get up once an hour to stretch, drink some water and rest your eyes.
- Stop if you feel annoyed, anxious or pushed to keep going.
- Don’t play to get away from stress, loneliness or low spirits, and put sleep, work and the people you love first.
- Keep in mind that credits aren’t money and that one round tells you nothing about the next.
Warning signs
- Playing for longer than planned, or finding it hard to stop thinking about it.
- Becoming restless or irritable when you try to cut down.
- Hiding how much you play from those close to you.
- Letting responsibilities slip, or feeling low after you’ve played.
